My Little Work-Station @ Home

I must say,it took all the blood and sweat of mine to finally have this. First saw this 2 items on the New 2013 IKEA Catalogue and got myself inspired to have one small office or a work station for myself. Not inspired, really not...more to a necessity.

Bringing work home is common, and unhealthy. Sometimes I really do not have the time in the office to finish up everything. Especially now my work more on doing research and paper work. So, I have to do a lot of reading. When there is a need, and a really really need...I will bring home my work. Sigh...so, when the really-really-need-to-bring-work-home time arrives, I need a good and proper desk. But I will not make this as a habit.

Most of the time I'll say "Nevermind, tomorrow lah. I'll do quickly, won't stop or entertain anyone in making a morning chat, or go to the toilet, and tak habis2 sapu lipstick (while chatting actually, yg itu tak habis2)...I will just concentrate till it finally finish" <---this is totally myth...end up not happening eventually :P

But the "Nevermind, tomorrow lah" is good (just this one time only, delaying things are not good, but as they say, WORK WILL NEVER FINISH so this one, you certainly can delay).

"When you go home, it allows for the phenomenon of recovery. Not just mental, but physiological," explains motivational speaker Ken Nedd, MD, author of The Time to Be Happy Is Now (QP Press, 2009) and Power Over Stress (QP Press, 2004). "The chemistry of the body will change as you go home and enter a different phase, a phase of relaxation." Denying yourself that recovery time is more than an inconvenience…it puts stress your body. "When there's constant stress on the cells, chemicals will be produced which can be injurious to your health," says Dr. Nedd.

Oh my, apa kau merepek ni...I was initially wanting to show my new work-station at home. Cute right? Hahahhaa...perasan sikit di situ. It simple but nice...but comel also. (Oh-Kay Nurul...!)

Got my fingers all blistered fixing this myself (2hours battle), I finally called the maintenance guy to help me out ♥♥ He fixed these two like in 10mins only. I should never ever try doing this on my own again. It has been 3 days and my fingers are still red and hurt (alahai jangan nak mengada sangatlah! LOL).

And I bought the wall stickers in Chatuchak Market in Bangkok (Weekend Market) and that Eiffel Tower sticker captured my interest first other than also amazing-adorable-cheap-stickers!!! Believe me, you can find so many things in Bangkok (selain daripada stickers iteww...baiknya nak connect Bangkok and stickers pulak)

Okay, since Raya Qurban is around the corner, I'm wishing all Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha. Dan Selamat Berwukuf pada semua umat Islam di Arafah.

Broga Hill

I have always wanted to go to Broga Hills, been seeing a lot of picture of this place from my friends in their Facebook.

Broga Hill also known as Bukit Lalang (beautiful lalang actually-when combine with other greeny plants around the hill and the awesome reflection of sunshine in the morning) is about 40 minutes from Subang Jaya or Kuala Lumpur. Located in Semenyih, it is very much nearer to University of Nottingham, and the entrance are facing a rabbit park. You can park your car (RM2 per entry) in between the palm oil trees.

We went on Sunday, so it was a bit crowded with other visitors. If you were late, even a bit late, you will be bumping with other visitors getting down. And the tracks, eventhough relatively easy, was...a bit narrow with people going up and going down during that time. Our fault, we were a bit late (with some important business in the morning..hihihi). Woke up at 4am, waiting at Petronas at 5am and then Subuh prayer at another Petronas located near Broga Hill we finally started off at around 7am. So yeap...sedikit lambat di situ. So, you need to sleep early the night before.

Okay, so there are a few things that you might need to bring. Here's the suggestions:-

1) Torch Light (if you hiking at early morning-to catch the sunrise)
2) Small towel
3) A bottle of water
4) Chocolate/sweets (for energy)
5) Insect Repellent
6) Slipper/other shoe (you might need this when you get back to the car after hiking. Your sport shoe might get very very dirty afterwards-so you can put this in your car, no need to carry up the hill)

The view captured while hiking...sun's coming up

Good Morning, Broga Hill!
Awesome reflection...good spot for those who love photography+outdoor activities.
I was just using my Blackberry instead of a real camera. But it turn out quite good too...I think. :)

The amazing view and some strangers

Us

This cute little dog was hiking too....4-wheel so easier for him
Believe me, it was quite okay but that doesn't mean you will not sweat. You have to have a good stamina...that and a slow and easy pace while hiking.

When going down, it was a bit tricky as the tracks are now a bit muddy and slippery (from the many visitor's steps coming up/down and been raining few days before) and at some point was 45 degrees going down? Lucky there were ropes and trees to hold on and rocks to steady ourself.

Reached the car and we took few minutes to clean off the mud on our shoes and change to a clean slipper. It was a good outting with friends while exercising. Later after that, we had a big breakfast. Each of us somehow craving for Nasi Lemak. And then home to catch some sleep and rest (except me).

Thanks Broga Hills and we will certainly come again. This time much earlier or maybe on weekdays.

Hamper Raya 2012-The Finishings

Found some Hamper Raya 2012 pics and well, these are some of the hampers I managed to snap the pics before delivering (this year yang paling kalut sbb tak advertise sgt, but only accepted orders from my regular customers)

With lots of raya cookies as requested by the customer.

And yes, all hampers are provided with Raya Card

For a dear friend; he ordered for his mum and dad.
Wrapped just like that...look a bit like Xmas hamper..itssokaay.

Ribbon at its WIP stage...mostly DIY and mix&match.

A bit challenging with the round basket and i kept arranging even after wrapping.
The customer got to see this (while handling the cheque) and the look she gave while looking at them is priceless.

I know it's not much designs this year (with business trips, office workload, excuses and excuses..hihi), tapi manage to visit the baskets shop and yes, buying more ribbons (I am RIBBON-ADDICTED, ye dah lama dah ada penyakit ni) with and without Raya themes.

And some of them were given by my childhood-good friend of mine who bought this in Bendigo before visiting me in June. Thank God for whatsaap; she snap pics of the ribbons and "Nurul, how about this one?" "Is this good?" "This is my personal choice, so I'm just gonna buy this for you" and I got a big plastics bag of ribbons all the way from Aussie...

Love all this...!

I really wanted to say "Babe, can you please buy all?" Hahahaha... :D They were all so pretty!! Love it all. Thanks babe...you are the best! Mmmuaxx.

Okay, I guess and I hope thats all about Raya Hamper 2012 (no more "suddenly found hidden Raya 2012 pics somewhere"). Let's move forward. Yes!

Baby Gift

You have to be as creative as you possibly can, especially when your wall clock giving you the wrong time (it's time to change the battery) and you suddenly rushing to get ready to visit a friend and her new born baby.

Earlier today I bought J&J's baby product and forgotten to think how to wrap it and went on front of the lappy researching and preparing paperwork as I need to submit by tomorrow. Thanks to the wall clock again, while jumping as I realised what was the time...I decided to just use my Pandora paper bag. Here how it looks like...

Just a simple pink ribbon and 2 pink roses to match with the
silver paperbag

The happy gorgeous mother

Mine and another creative idea by my friend-a cute handmade pink bag
(this goes to the eldest princess) and an awfully cute baby romper nicely folded in the bag (not in pic though)

The princess

We can't stop "awww"-ing when opening the cute gifts.. ^_^

Us today..
(I'm already getting ideas for newborn baby gift for the most left future-mommy)
I am truly amazed with our dear friend getting the mummy job along very well (which I never thought she could do) and suddenly thinking about myself when the time comes. I guess, I should be okay. Motherhood, they say...comes naturally. :)
